We didn't see it coming We couldn't have known That for a few hours our worlds would stop That we would put our lives on hold We sat glued to our television sets We saw the horrible scene As we sat in school or at home We saw icons collapse into nothingness We still cannot comprehend We are still grieving our tragic loss We will always remember What we saw that one fateful day Our country will prevail That is what we are told We must be strong So we can begin to heal our tragic wounds Flags fly at half mast Countries all over pray for us We must be strong For our country - and world - will prevail By :
